Challenging Entry at Eel Gardens
The entry is a shallow, narrow lagoon at the end of a path along the reef table marked out by anchored buoylines. Today there was a lot of surge which kept taking me away from the lagoon and over the top of the reef table. I was working so hard to keep position that when I tried to descend, I kept popping back up.
Eventually Ahmed came to the surface and dragged me down in a rather unceremonious way for which I was thankful. On rejoining the group, I signed a couple of rude words to Lucy. My bad mood meant that I didn't really get the best out of this dive. The eels didn't come out anyway!
Apparently there isn't ever much current at Eel Gardens. Lucy has excellent photographic evidence to the contrary!
